Dawson Creek, British Columbia to Delta Junction, Alaska (historical routes, heritage sites, sightseeing, driving tour) Pioneer Road - Contract Road - Public Road
Pioneer RV Park, Whitehorse Alaska Highway Historic Milepost 911
This is one of only three commerical RV Parks were I stay while traveling on the Alaska Highway. They are close to Whitehorse, have free wireless internet, and really great discounts on fuel and propane for those that stay in the park overnight. Very customer pleasing.
RV wash. Pet wash. There is a coin operated Internet kiosk. Some of the campsites are secluded in the woods (on the upper level) they are large and well spaced in a mostly pine forest. On the lower level the sites are mostly open and on gravel but there are a few treed sites.
At km 1414.7 on Highway 1, just south of Whitehorse.
