Alaska Storyteller Photography was born in 2001 as a website for Robert M. Braley Jr. to put Alaska's history on the internet as he experianced it in daily life. Many locations in Alaska were visited by Robert for the purpose of learning Alaskan history and recording it with photographic images as it is today. This worked very well until I retired from the Alaska Air National Guard and U.S. Federal Civil Service on October 1, 2008.
In September 2009, I moved to Southern California with my then 91 year old mother declining from Alzimers. Why Southern California? Because my older sister and younger brother were living there and I felt mom needed to be living close to them for visitation in her final years. Mom passed September 23, 2011 at the age of 93.
On October 1, 2011, I headed for Tacoma, Washington where my step-daughter and son-in-law live. So now I spend much of my time living in my motor home between Alaska and Washington while traveling to many locations through-out the United States and Canada.
I plan on continuing to use
www.alaskastorytellerphotography.com and
www.akstp.com as my web URLs with the page titles as Storyteller Photography and/or photographer's. name. I will now start writing my autobiography and travel books from my collection of images.
At the same time, I have offered some photographer friends web pages on this site to make the site more interesting to our visitors. Feel free to surf around the site and view all the wonderful images produced by all the contributers.
